Words of faith part two

The two checked into the cabin.they started to bring in there bags. They had not really spoken to each other for a while. They really did not have anything to say. After they finished bringing stuff In.she went to the  bathroom. She locked the door. She just sat and thought for a little bit. She had no idea what to do. She wondered why her Perents would set her up with this man. What they thinking ? Was this kind of a joke. Would she get a call or a text saying just kidding. Of course she did not. She did not know what to do. How could this possibly work out?

He was upset at first. He was a bit angery with her. Then he realized that he was in the wrong. He had been harsh and self absorbed. As he began to have a pity party ,he felt the holy Spirit lovingly rebuke him. It was as if he was being told he was saying to him,I have given her to you. Why are you rejecting her. You have not even given her a chance. He felt rally bad. He decided to humble himself. He recommitted himself to her. He wanted to see her. He wanted to go to her.he figures he should give her a few minutes. Let he sort all this out. He has really been a yutzah. He knew it.he wanted to make it right even though he really did not know how.

She was so confused. She had no idea what to do. She cried. She struggled to regain her composure. She ended up being in the bathroom for an hour.finaky she came out. “Libby hunnie are you OK?”he asked.”yea I think so!”she said.

“I was afraid you jumped out the window!”he said.”to be honest the thought had accured to me!”she said. “I am glad you did not.”he said.”really?”she said.”yes. We did not really get off to a great start did we?”he remarked.”no we did not!”she answered. “Your not upset with me?”she asked.”no not all all. Come hear!”he said.

He put his arms around her. They hugged. He held her as tight as he could. They went to a couch.she sat next to him.he out her arms around her.she rested her head on his shoulders.”do you think we can make this work?”she asked.”I would like to try.”he said.”I would too”she said.

They say in silence for a while. Nether one said anything. They just held each other. They both tried to calm down for a bit. ” I guess I a! Not what you expected?”she said.”no but I suppose I am not what you expected either!”he answered.”to be honest not really.no offense !”she said.he chuckled.”none taken.!”he said.

“Are you strict?”she asked.”depends on who you ask. Some see independent fundimental Baptist as very strict. Some see me personally as strict.i guess I hold some view that could be interpreted as strict even by I.f.b standards. I take holiness serious. I hope that my strictness is not out of mallice.i want to speak the truth in love. That is not always easy. It should be but it is not always I’m afraid.”he said.

” I am new all this. Can you patient with me?”she pleaded with him.”absolutely!”he said.he patted her back. “I have heard that your brand of Baptist don’t like my church !”she commented. “Well I disagree with the view that if your not materialy or physically prosperous, your not right with God. That view is contrary to scripture.”he said.

“God does what Christians to be prosperous.”she said.”yes but how do you define prosperous? Prosperity is doing what God wants you to do. Our best life is later not now. Someday we will be with the Lord. We will have a mansion just over the hilltop but that is not for now. Later we have the sweet bye and bye but now we have to deal with the nasty now and now.”he said.

“When Jesus died on the cross he went to hell and got the keys.he overcame the power of death and hell. This includes sickness and wealth. He had power over it and so do we.”she said.”I don’t believe Jesus went to. Hell to get the keys. I am familiar with that view but I don’t agree with it.setting that aside,Jesus made it clear that his kingdom is not of this world. While the kindgom excist in a mystery form it will not be set up on earth until after the tribulation. I believe that although death is defeated,oh death where is thy sting, the full effect will not be felt until the milenial kingdom.”he said.

He realized he went into lecture mode a lot. This was his wife not a debate opponent. He felt like he was patronizing. That was not what he wanted to do. “What is the banefit of a believer now? If your right it all future?”she remarked.”not quite.as a Christian we are looking forward to the blessed hope. There is much to be hopefully for. Right now we have the promise of the presence of the holy sprit. We have the help we need to live daily for the Lord. We have his presence ,his encouragement. Health wealth and wisdom could be a hunderence to our walk with the Lord. Paul asked three times for the thorn in the flesh to be taken away. The Lord told him my grace is sufficient. Some people,God does give health and wealth and they use it for the Lord. There is no formula . He does what is best. I don’t like the enthises on material wealth and physical health over sprituel prosperity”he said.

“So what are your expectations for me?”she asked.”well I figured your would be I.f.b. my expectations are I want a partner a helper, encoreger. Being a pastor there is a detachment between myself and those I’m thinking congregation. While I am not sure that is bibilical ,it happeneds. I get lonely.it would be nice to have someone to talk to.” He told her.

She learned early on that whenever she asked a question, she would get a story.at first she was taken a back. Later she got used to it.shecame to expect it even found it to be a bit endering. Rather he intended to or not,he had really opened up.

“I can see that.i am a good listener not quite an elorien but I will do.”she said.”a what?”he asked. “Never mind.”she said.”what are your expectations for me?”he asked. “Please be patient with me. I am all new to this. I can be v verry sensitive. Please keep that in mind. That did not come out quite as I wanted it to !”he said.”no I understand. I will try to be sensitive.i am glad you told me that. “He said.

She noticed he seemed to genuinely care about her. She could see compassion in him. ” You are?”she asked. “I want to respond to your needs.” He said. Your not a Klingon?” She remarked. “A what??” He asked. ” Never mind! “She said.

“I have a feeling that we have almost nothing in common!”she commented. “It’s possible.”he said. “If there is to be a brave new world our generation will have the hardest time Living in it. We will have to work on that I guess. “She said.”yes we will.,”he said.

“What are your interest?”she asked.”church history. theology. History.i like snowmobiling. I like playing sports not really good at it but enjoy it. I like hyims as you know. I enjoyed joy himnology. I like airplanes.you? “He asked.

I like to read . I like fiction and nonfiction fiction. I read books by word of Faith writers. I like reading and writing poetry. I like contemporary Christian music. I like Star trek and sci Fi.i play the guter. I play the piano but prefer the guter. I like playing volleyball ball. ” She said.

“We do both like sports and to read. We just read different thing.”he said.”I noticed. Like you said we will work at it.” She said. After a while they decided to call it a night. They had stayed up pretty late. They turned off the lights. They said goodnight.

Words of faith

What if the one person who would change your life was the last person you ever expected. What if the love of your life could not be more different. They say birds of a feather flock together . It has also been said that opposite attracts? Could one fall in love with a total opposite? Could you create a life with that person. Could you spend the rest of your life with the person.coukd you be happy? Does it just happen? Is love a choice or does one get zap with the love virus and then they get married and live happily ever after.

These are questions that are not easily answered. These are things that are heavily debated. Everyone had different opinions and conclusions on this topic.

What about aranged mariege. There was a time when mariege were aranged.many times by Perents. Hear is a story of aranged mariege. A story of a buy and a girl brought together by  there Perents.

Elizabeth was spending time In her Perents garden.she likedto garden. She always had. She wore a blue t shirt and jeans and was barefoot. Her sister came out. “Liz mom and dad want to talk to you. ” Her sister said. She opened the outside door.she walked to the living room. “Hi Lizzy please sit down.”her farther said.

She knew  some thing was up. She had no idea what.she sat down. ” As you know our family believs strongly in the idea  of aranged marriage. “Her mom asked. Yes I do!”she said.she had no idea what they were getting at.Asshe considered it ,it started to come to her. She began to see that she was going on. They had found a husband for her.

“You see we have found a husband for you. The Perents of a young man has agreed to slow there son to marry you. ” Her mom said. Elizabeth had no idea what she thought of this. As a child she was told that her mate would be chosen  by her Perents. She had accepted it.there was no time table . It was unclear when it would happen.there was always the chance that they would be unable to find a husband. They might not be able to convince the Perents to agree to that. Now they found someone and they have agreed.

Arrangements for the wedding began at once. She was not sure what to think about all of this .She  wanted to give it a chance. She thought that it could be a really good thing. She was close to her Perents.she trusted them. She believed that they had her best interest at heart. She was certain of that. She hoped that they had made a good decision.

She was told little about her husband to be. She was told that he was a pastor of a church. He was in his mid twenties. She was told that his name was Brad. That was a out it. Her Perents Wanted to her have little Information. That way she could get to know him naturally.

Elizabeth’s family were Christians. They were part of a group that was a little out of the mainstream of Protestant Christianity. . They were part of a branch of penticoastasm called word of faith. It has also been called prosperity gospel. this group has been made popular by Kenneth Hagen,Benny hyin and others. The mane view is that God wants his poeple to be healthy wealthy and wise. If you are not healthy wealthy and wise that you be must be signing. Your sprituel life is based on how prosperous you are. This was not an organized sub denomation.many churches might apply to this group. They went to a church that believed in that view point.

She was nervous. She was excited too. She did not spend a lot of time thinking about her weeding or mariege, she did not think about it. Now it was not acedemic she was really going to get married. She went to the church and got dressed I. Her weeding dress. It was time. She began to walk to the auditorium.

She walk down the isle. She saw the man.he had a well groomed beard. He had short brown hair. He was 5.9. she found him to be handsome. She was pleased with his appearance.she did not care a lot about appearance but was happy that he was good looking. It did not really matter but was a plus. She tried to see if she could grasp what he was thinking.she could not. She wished that she was telipathic at least when it came to him. She did not want to read the minds of everyone but wanted to read his mind. That was not possible.

She smiled at him. He smiled back. He had a warm smile. She was looking forward to actually being able to talk to him. She wanted to be able to interact with them.she wanted to get to know him. She wanted to know who he was. Right now she really did not have a clue who this person was. She wanted to . When she came over to him she offered his hand. He took it. He had warms hands. She squeezed his hand . He squeezed it back.

They went though the vows. At the end the minister pronounced them husband and wife. She Leened In  For the kiss. He kissed her. She found that he was a good kisser. Then the ceremonial part of the wedding was concluded. A reception was to follow the wedding proceeding. He took her hand.

“Hi there. It’s good to finally meet you. I have a voice and face to the name. “She said. ” I know what you mean ! I wondered what you look like. You are very pretty !” He said. He realized that might have been a silly thing to say. She smiled.”thank you. Your quite handsome yourself.”she said. “Thank you!”he said. “It is this to finally meet you!”she said.”I know what you mean. I have so much to tell you. I also have a lot of questions. We will get to  that in due course !” He said. “I know what you mean ! I feel the same way . I have much to tell you. I have a lot of questions.”she said.

Both wanted to be alone together. They wanted to get to know each other. They owed to there family to attend the reception. They would adhere to protocol. They went to the reception area. They would look at each other.she imagined what her life with him would be like. She was not able to get a sense of who he was. He like wise had trouble getting a sense of who she was. It did not feel real yet. After quite a while they said there good byes and were off.they got into the car.

“Hey you?”she said.”hi Libby hunie I am glad that we can have some alone time.” He said.”  Me too ! Where are we headed?” She asked.”I got a cabin for us. We can do some boating. There is a mini golf course. There is a paint ball place.”he said.”paint ball ooh. I like paint ball. I tend to get carried away.”she said.”duley noted.please don’t go too hard on me!”he said.”no promises but I will try!” She said. They laughed.

” Do you have any pics of the house?” She asked.”I do.it is a bit modest. ” He said.”is there room for a garden?”she asked.”absolutely! ” He said.”good! I am glad to hear that. “She said. He had old hyms on. She was not a big fan of it.they stoked for gas.”can I take the wheel?”he asked.”sure!”he said. She went Into the driver’s seat. She changed the radio station. She put on a contemporary Christian music station. He was very uncomfortable with the music but did not say anything.

” So my Perents said you are a pastor?” She asked.”yes I am?” He said.” What kind of church?” She asked.”Baptist why?”he asked.”just curious. ” She said. She never thought that he would be a Baptist minister. She suspected that he was form a traditional Baptist Church. King James Bible, women ware dresses, they sing form hyimbooks and piano and the pastor’s and church members are poor.

He figured that she would be an independent fundimental Baptist. “What kind of church do you attend?”he asked.” Gadson Christian community Church.” She said.” Oh! ” He said. Gadson was a mega church that believed in a prosperity gospel. The pastor had been a football player who was hired by a religious broadcast comping and decided to start a church. He was well known. For his prosperity gospel and close ties to Todd bentley,Benny him and others linked to property gospel.

“I was not aware of that. “He said. They both went really quiet. They did not say anything for quite a while. He took the wheel as they got closer. He put a sacred Christian station on. They drove to the cabin..They checked into the room.he did carry her over the threshold but it was not like he planed. She went into the bathroom. She stayed there for a while. Both had no idea what to do.

End of part one.

Chestnut spring  part three.

The town of chessnut springs had been a command city for the red ember colony. When the red ember pulled out, bandits, outlaws and mages moved in. Under the rule of red ember, the town had a vibrant administrative municipal government. It crumbled imidiatly after the pull out by the coalition. The town tried to organize a town government after the pull out but it failed. The council members were killed or fled. The town was basically in a sate of anarchy.

There was no one to enforce the law. During the rule of the c.o.r.e, garbage collection and other public utilities were taken care off. That went out the window once the red ember pulled out. There were no police. Farmers and ranchers took mater’s into there own hands. They battled outlaws. They also battled other ranchers and Farmers over water access. Some times Farmers united with other Farmers to fight what they saw as injustice. There was no one to step in aned stop it.

There was organized and unorganized crime. Some gangs were confined to a town. Others had a larger reach. Others were petty criminal. Gangs had been known to fight other gangs.

Then there was the mages. Magic was banned in the federated States most nations banned magic. While red ember banned magic, they turned a blind eye in the outlands. They hoped to appease the mages and those who supported them.

In ancient days, mages controlled population though fear. In the old days, you did what they told you to do or face the consequences. That could be in the form of pestilence, dragons or having your soul cursed. In the olden days, mages used there dark arts to grab land or charge there own Texas in addition to national taxis. Mages even used there magic against kings. Sometimes they propped up kings. They also removed ones they did not like.

With the rise of philosophy, science and the influence of the monotheism of kurios. This caused the influence of the mages to decline. Many abandoned the profession. There were fewer new recruits. Magic became associated with evil. Many came to see mages as egoistical pragmatist.

While mages declined every where else, they thrived in the outlands. While they had a reputation as being mean, fearc and whimsical, they providd stability in unstable areas. In the outlands, they were tolerated. Manny war Lords saught  them out.there help always came with a price.

The f.s.a had not totally moved into the outlands. There control was mostly confined to the borders. They had little influence in the interior. The goal of the f.s.a to toalty route out mages. That was proving to be a harder task then what they had anticipated.

The most feared of all of the mages in the outlands was elikon.elikon was a master mage. He was called the silver mage. While his fellow mages revered him they also feared him. He had no interest in being loved adored or even liked. He wanted to be feared. It was sad that he had no friens.not even fellow mages.

Elikon had made a kind of non aggression pact with the red ember. Then he switch sides and supported those opposed to the ocupation. Then he betrayed them. This gave him power and wealth. He got rich off protection money and tributes. It also made him enemies.

Red ember made several attempts to asasinate him. They failed. They tried to convince other mages to turn against him. That was a huge disaster. This caused his influence to grow not wain. He calmed he was the reason the coalition withdrew. He believed he could do the same to the f.s.a. he had come to see himself as almost  invincible. He came to see himself as a god.

No one was truly invincible. It was a common delusion. The evidence made him think that he was. This dilusion grew and grew. When they were duluded they were the most dangerous. Elikon was no different.

One of the mages underling came to see him. He was summoned. That garentined no protection. Breathing was a risk around someone like elikon. The younger knocked on the door. The door was opeed. The mage greated him.

“Excellentcy! The Marshall nears chestnut springs. “The younger mage said. Elikon wore a long silver robe. He carried a large wound in his hand. He ad long flowing hair and beared.he was eight feet tall. “Did he get my message?”he asked. “Yes! He has not turned back!” The he mage said. “Not that u expected him to. I like a challenge. I welcome his opposition. I love opposition. I love having an enemy. I love putting them down like a junkyard dog. This Marshall won’t have a chance! ” The mage said.”why not kill him?” The other mage asked. ” The fsa will only replace him or send in the army. No we need to send a clear message. We need a public face for the imperialist. We need a poster child. Trust me I know how to defeat empires. Believe me I will!” He said.

End of part three.

Chestnut springs part two.

Marshall Bryan Durban’s heard the sound of a single horse. He stopped. he got the rifle ready. “You want me! Come and get me! ” He declared. The horse and the Ryder came to him. It was one of the ladies that belong to the gang that previously tried to hijack him earlier.

She came at him with a rifle. “Stop right there! No sudden moves! ” The female outlaw demanded. “This is a really bad idea! My gun is f.s.a issue. As is my horse. If you ride my horse and cannot present a valid commission paper, you will be shot on sight. I don’t think you will pass for Bryan Durgans!” He responded.

“I am hardly a delicate flower. I can elude the authorities. This is a vest frontier. ” She answered. ” You have probably elduded the authorities thus far. You kill a Marshall it is a whole new game! ” He said.” I have no desire to harm anyone. If you don’t put that weapon I will do whatever it takes to disarm you!” She said. ” Put the weapon down! ” He said. “So you can attest me and take me off to a prison I don’t think so. ” She said. “You will lose .Maybe not now but eventually. No one who chooses crime wins forever. Your time will run out. It always does!” He told her.

All of a sudden ,he heard a noise. He sounded like the wind. A large man in a gray robe flew though the air. He had a large stick like object in his hand. The man came at Durgans. He dodged the hit. The man came at him. He rammed the mage. Out of fear the lady ran away.

“I know who you are. All who oppose us are our enemies. The resuregence of the magic orders is at hand. The outlands are destined to become the first nation sate of for and by the mages! You cannot stop us. We have overcome other empires and we will overcome your federated States! ” . He went back to the sky. He put a fire ball into an area near him. A small crater was formed. A rock was set up with an inscription. Future grave stone of f.s.a marhsal Bryan Durgans. ” This is either future or an opinion. Your choice!” The mage declared.

He kept on going.he came on to the mysterious young lady. “Stop right there!”he insisted. ” Fine! My life is in your hands. Better you then the mage I guess” she said. “If you promise not to run I won’t put the cuts on you!” He told her. ” I won’t run! They say prison is horrible especially for women!” She said.” That is what I hear!”he answered.”I did not think you would care. I did the crime and all that. ” She said. The two rode off.

“I do see the world I black and white. The world is right and wrong. The law is rigid. Having said that I am not without compassion. You work with me,I work with you. I am not hear to make enimies. ” He said.

“I thought for sure I was a goner. I have stories of law man schooting unarmed prisoners. Some don’t like the hastle especially out hear. ” She said. “The marhsal service forbids such action but it happened. Unfortunately no Marshall has ever been prosecuted. The outlands is a foreboding place. We are under martial law. ” He said. ” It’s like mero once said,”in time of war the law falls silent!” She said.”you study ancient legal opinions?”he asked. “No I just heard it somewhere! “She answered. “I’m!”he said.

“Thank you for not schooting me!”she told him. “I promise you work with me I will work with you. I am a man of my word. “He assured her. They decided forest for a while. He helped her off of her horse. They set up a campsite. She slept for a while. She looked sweet.

A few hours later, she woke up. “Good morning !” He said. “Morning! ” She responded. ” Sleep well? ” He asked. ” Actually I did. ” She answered. “You have a bright future ahead of you! ” He said. “I don’t see how!” She said. ” Don’t give up OK?” He told her. “OK!” She said.

He then rested for a while. Then they rode off again. They heard the sound of horses.  “We are in deep do Doo!”chole decalred. He decided to give her her rifle back. She took it and got it ready. The horse men rode to them. The bandits opened fire.

Bryan and chloe returned fire on the bandits. They were heavily outnumbered. “I will distract them. Get out of hear!”he insisted. “But..”she tried to say. “Don’t argue with me go!”he told her. She finally relented. He ran towards them firing his gun. She rode off.

Durgans fired and fired. One of the bandits Schofield his horse. He fell off of the horse and fell to the ground. Another bandit finished off the other horse. He hated to lose his horse. He had been a constant companion. He would have to mourn himself if he did not run. He did.

He was fairly certain his life was over.he did not see how he could win this one! He was not ready to die not that anyone truly was. There were still things he wanted to do. He had spent most of his life as a soldier and a lawman. That was not all he wanted to do. He did have other goals.he wanted to write and to paint. He also wanted to get married and have kids maybe live to see his grandkids. Maybe even Persue a carer apart from the law. Now that won’t happen. He would probably be dead soon!

He heard a gun shot. Chole rode towards him. He grabbed her hand. She hoisted him up to the horse. They fired there guns. They attempted to ride off. They most ridnng. They rode over a revine!

“You OK?” He asked. ” That scared the crap out of me! As soon as my heart return to my stomach I will be fine! “She told him. “You saved my life! I will never forget it! “He said. ” I knew what I was doing was wrong. I tried to justify it . The more I did less then legal acts it got easier. I am glad your OK. I am sorry about your horse!”she said. ” me too! He was a good horse! To all things there is an end! ” He said.”I thought I was cyinical. You have had a sad life. “She said. ” It has not been easy but it’s happeneds. It seams it won’t get easier. ” He said . “The outlands need people like you. This is your time!”she said. “I hope so! ” He said.

The two kept riding towards the town of chestnut springs. There was still danger out there. The hard part had already begun!

End of part two .

chesnut spring

The federated sates of angloomer was a rising power in the atune continent. The nation was starting to expand.  Without the political will or financial means ,the red ember an intercontinental coiliton sold a reifon of space kbwon as the outlands to the f.s.a. the outlands were lands that were foreboding and harsh. It was difficult to grow anything.  Although the lands were oficially controlled by the red ember, that was in name only.

In reality the outlands were rylled by two groups. One was outlaw gangs. Gangs who filled though superior fire power. They had a might makes right mentality. The other group was the mages.

The mazes were those who practiced magic. In anglomer, catolon, red ember and nearby crember, magic is ilegal. Anglomer is committed to anti magic. The goal of the FSA in the outlands was to reconstitute the region into member sates of the federation. The federation was a free society but neseity forced the outlands to be under an emergency order. The military and the marhsal service . many of the gangs had been broken up. Many still refuse to accept f.s.a rule. This included the mages.

A man rode though the frontier. It had been houses sence he left the inner federation. He was now in the ocupupied outlands. Many of the outlands was ungoverned. Some say it was ungovernable.

Marshal Bryan durgeen tried to maintain his composure. He had the power of a judge ,police and a military governor. That ment little to the law breakers of the outlands. If an outlaw found him, they would not hesitate to fire on him. He did want to speculate on what a maze would do.

Durgen had been though worse in his life. He had been a sholdjer. He had served in war and peace time and had engaged In police actions. He knew how go handle most situations. He knew if he hesitated even for a split second, his life could be over.

He kept riding. He felt like he was being persued. He pretended like nothing was a miss. He kept on going. He had no idea when they would strike. He was confident that they would strike. He was determined to be ready.

Unlike some of his orther marshalls,he actually paid attention to the breffings back in federated city. He had memorized the route from the federated proper to the command post in chestnut spring. He had a photographic memory. He could see the picture of the route in his head. He knew that he was near a series of boulders. A dead end.

He suspected that whoever was tailing him was doing so in order to ambush him. Durgen was going to try to turn the tables on them. He suspected that they had no idea that he was a law man. They probably assumed that he was a rich travaler. All he had on him was a few dollars and a series of federation vouchers that the bandit’s would find useless. They might kill him just for the insult. He suspected that that they were pery thugs and not part of a major crime syndicate.

He rode right for the large rocks. There were a series of large boulders. The flat area between the rocks were narrow. He would be venerable. He was traping himself. He had no where to go. This was the only wah to draw them out. He heard the sounds of horses. There were seven in all. There were five males and two females.

“There is no where to run boss!” The lead bandit declared.he started to climb one of the rock face. It was not quite a mountain. It was a little larger then a simple hill. The thugs neared the rock. They had to dismount. One of the women had to gaurd the horses. The rest started to climb the rock. He ran and jumped off of the rock. The thugs never got a chance to climb the rock. He charged the outlaws. He fired his rifle in to the air. The horses were spooked. The horses started to run off.

Durgen schot one of the thugs in the leg. He hit another outlaw in the back. Durgen was an excellent schot. One of the gunman got on his horse. He tried to ram durgen. Durgen fired on him. The man fell off of the horse. He was killed instently.

Durgen was fired on. He had to dodge several schots. He roled around the ground and fired back. The ring leader got on his horse. He fired on the Marshall. Bryan ran on to the horse. The horse was spooked. The horse ran with both still on it. Bryan pushed the bandit to the ground. Durgen himself was pushed off of the horse. He was a little swore but otherwise was fine. The ringleader famed himself into the Marshall.

The bandit tried to punch him. He matched his punch. He hit the thug hit him with  the but of his riffle! The thug head butted him. Durgen fell back. He kicked the man in the shins. The man  was in pain. He took his rifle and fired.the man was dead. He let the two women go. He should try to aptehend them. They would not elude justice forever. He was out in the open hr had no back up. He had to get to the command post. This was indeed a dangerous place.

He kept on going. He rode on for a few hours unhindered. He made it to a check point. He went to a booth. It was maned by a single man.an oficial of the f.s.a government. He was part of the department of the interior. “Durgen f.s.a Marshall. ” he said. He showed the clerk his paper work. “Your a ways away from chessnut spring Marshall. ” the clerk said. ” I have yet to take up residence. I just got my commission. ” he said. “Be carefully. This area is known for bandits. ” the clerk said. “I am keenly aware of it. ” Bryan said in response.

He signed the paper work. “Good luck Marshall. Your going to need it!” The clerk said. ” anything else I should know!”he asked. “Bewhare of the silver maze. ” he said. “I will. ” he said. Then he rode off.

The Marshall kept on riding. It went from day to night. It became dark. He had grown up in the city of Charliebakersville. He loved night in the city. Even with the signs of industrialization it was beutifull.  While in the wirkderness it was beutifull natural. It was a lie. There were a thousand ways to die. He knew how to survive. He had to. Hus adult life had been spent on battle fields. He was ready.

He heard the sound of a horse coming for him. He got his gun ready. He rode towards the horse. “You want me come and get me! ” he said taunting the other rider. The rider rode to him. Some called the time between one am and five the hour of the wolf.  Many claimed to see a wolf man hybred who tried to eat then. Many chalked it up to a hilucinstion of an embodiment of ones fears. The danger Bryan was about to face was not a wolf but a human. He was up to the challenge.

End of part one.
